FIRST CAPITAL SKATEPARK X-MAS SHOW: Captain's Log- Friday, December 21st This show however was a great success. We didn't even really flyer for the show but for some reason there was well over 90 kids there which was a nice thing to see. All the kids had a great time and danced for almost every single band there. All the bands did very good, some of them (Esperanto) had some problems but it was out of thier control, but LBJ tried to fix it and it helped somewhat. EDENPARK played pretty good except IP broke a string on his bass and messed up a few things but oh well nobody is perfect, besides people still stuck around and loved them even for being the last band to play. Scallywag was great too they were shockingly entertaining, it consisted of 3 guys, a kyboardist, the bassist from Mrs. Winslow and a really good drummer. They did a bizarre version of "My Girl", I highly suggest you check them out. Mrs. Winslow did a fantastic job as well and their "accidental" version of that infamous TRIXX song got the crowd all crazy too. Another great thing that happened that night was the lovely girls from Hanover brought free cookies for the bands and the kids to enjoy which was very sweet of them! However there was only one really bad downfall to the very good show and that was the fact that LBJ broke and/or sprained his left foot which is really crappy because now he can't walk right. He's doing ok though. Anyway we wish you all a safe Holiday and be well!! 8X10 SHOW!: Captain's Log- Friday, December 7th Well this was our very first real show with Ishmael Dummy and boy was it ever interesting. The show was absolutely terrible.. not the band's performance itself, in fact we sounded great considering the fact that we were all sick as dogs, tired and stressed out by the prior things going on with the show. But the way the show turned out in general was just bad news. There was some poor decision making being made about who was to play with us. The first two bands that played did not fit our genre whatsoever and the second band was so bad that the people that came to see them actually left because they were so bad that the people couldn't handle being in there. Not only did they suck BUT they got to play a half hour longer than they were supposed to, so that didn't make the situation any easier for us. By the time the band was done playing there was only a handful of kids who stuck around to see us play. But in the long run we made some new fans so we can't complain too much. Don't get us wrong we still love the 8X10 and we will still hang out there, it just needs some help with their booking agent.... HALDADDY'S THANXGIVING EVE BASH!: Captain's Log-Wednesday November 21st Well this wasn't the best day of EDENPARK's life, but it may have been for the best because now we see the light. The New Alexander is no longer in EDENPARK. He totally screwed us over at this show. He showed up to the show and actually DID NOT play with us. Why you ask? Were we mean to him? No. Did we tell him not to play? No, we wanted him to play because it was the least he could have done for us after all we did for him. Did we kick him out? Yes, and No (basically he quit on us a few weeks ago but he "promised" to actually play the remaining shows we had lined up) but he didn't play them shows so we technically kicked him out before his last show. But why is he like this? Because his psychotic girlfriend totally brainwashed him into thinking that we were bad people and she convinced him that the band was taking him away from her, which couldn't be further from the truth. So Alexander made up all these excuses why he was quitting the band (which were pretty lame ones at that). But in the end he feels like a dumbass and now we have a phenomenal guitar player. This log may seem like it has a lot of anger in it but the truth is we are disappointed but at the same time we are very happy because now we can move on with a move stable guitarist. All in all the show was very good on Wednesday, Haldaddy's is a very small place. If you have ever been to the SPINE you will think that the SPINE might be a bit bigger than the band area to Haldaddy's. On the top floor they have a bar and a pool table, which is next to impossible to play a good game there when there's bands playing because the whole upstairs gets filled up. Anyway down stairs where EDENPARK and the other bands were playing, we did a great job and so did Frankie considering what he had to go through without the second guitarist. Craig and Them from 209 were fun to watch but didn't get to play their crazy hard songs because of the short amount of time they had. The drummer's drumset was awesome though it was strangely shaped. The OB States were cool they had the crowd roaring like a lion. LBJ and Frankie tried to pull the singer's pants down when he got close to them and there was tons of drunk girls there who were smearing themselves on the crowd of crazy guys who were doing crowd-surfing and woo-wooing at the band. Mrs. Winslow was great too and of course most of EDENPARK sang along the lyrics to the TRIXX song that Mrs. Winslow accidentally covered. But for the most part had a blast with the all the bands and everyone had a good time after what happened. Thank you once again Timm for setting us up with yet another great gig! FAT DADDY'S BATTLE OF THE BANDS: Captain's Log-Thursday, November 15th Well we did a helluva lot of flyering for the show, but we didn't win the battle of the bands but that's OK, we didn't really care anyway we just wanted to play the show. But anyway good luck to Twysted By Nature though, they have to battle it out with a band called Juiced on Thanksgiving. Twysted By Nature mainly did covers so they were a real crowd pleaser which sucked for us in that case (we have no covers and we don't plan to). They had a guitarist who looked like Weird Al, he was a great guitarist and very nice, in fact the whole band was very nice actually. Both bands covered the same songs twice, which was kinda funny. The other funny thing about it all was out of the 3 bands that played, the most moshing and dancing came from people when we played. There was a big old drunk guy who tripped and fell over when he was moshing to us. It was crazy seeing older people jumping around a dancing to us though. SPARKY AND CLARK'S ACOUSTIC SHOW: Captain's Log-Saturday, November 10th The acoustic show was really great. We played some old songs like "Stampede", (extremely) new songs that didn't even really have a name and half covered songs (TRIXX and JamesLoveJackson) which was rather interesting to hear. Hearing TRIXX acoustic was just hilarious, it almost brought tears to LBJ hearing random grunting and squealing by other band mates trying to bring back the good old days of that awful band. The last (EDENPARK) song was really funny and it was about how the band members were cool. Even the Obnoxious IP sang a few parts in some songs (someone who hates acoustic shows). Sparky and Clark's is a very cute little coffee shop to go to sit at and chill. If you live in York go there. They loved us there too and so did the other people. There was some new fresh faces and of their some parents as well there who really enjoyed watching the band. We will be playing there again soon so come check out the acoustic sounds! CREEP SHOW 2001 IN MD: Captain's Log-Saturday, November 3rd Man was this show ever insane or what. First of all Frankie C, Puffy Josh and LBJ got lost on the way down to MD where we were playing and they had to turn around. That was just the beginning of things to come. The place we played at was super cool it was outside in the middle of the woods (a tit bit nippley though). They even had name tags made for us it was very professionally done. The whole setup was so cool (free food for the bands). The first band to play was Velvetene, they were OK. They reminded LBJ of a band called Kitchens Of Distinction (which is a good thing actually). We played right after Velvetene and that's when people started showing up (sober people still). We sounded pretty good except Alexander's head to his guitar amp was giving him problems and kept cutting out on him, but other than that we rocked. The band that played after us we called Green Machine and of course we heckled them because they did a sloppy cover of Weezer so we made fun of them the rest of the show, but it was all in good fun. We ruined the one members birthday by calling him Ralph when his name was Damon, he thought it was funny too. The band after them (Utter Velocity) sucked so bad, they had a bad attitude from the getgo. They were fighting each other and people in the crowd plus they were drinking and crap like that. Then girls were flashing their breasticles at them like they were some special band or something. In between the mayhem that the crappy band was unleashing a very pretty girl comes up to LBJ and takes him aside tries to seduce him and tells him she wants to have intercourse with his hair and with him. He got very frightened by her and he ran very far away from her (no he's not homosexual, he just doesn't want an STD combo platter). The next band was Another Lincoln and lemme tell you, they were so cool. The singer was very nice, she loved us too. They sounded a lot like No Doubt, they were really cool, they enjoyed us heckling them too. LBJ told her to "show us her toes" and people were laughing at him. After that LBJ, Puffy Josh and Frankie C. went home. EDENPARK is making a special "shout out" to Amber, Charlena (the event was at her house) and Timm who all rocked for inviting us to play there, we had a blast and we hope we can come back and rock your worlds'
